We would be happy to discuss any questions you may have at one of our funeral homes, on the phone, or in your home.
I recognise the ongoing and increased uncertainty that Coronavirus is causing and my highest priority is the well-being of my clients and staff at Eustace King & Birkin Funeral Service.
As the situation has escalated, I have no choice other than to lock our office doors, to protect everyone. The doors maybe closed but we are working to assist families in their time of need , via the telephone and emails behind the scenes.
We will help guide you through the funeral options which are available in these changing times.
The local crematoriums are still operating but all have new restrictions, which we can explain. These include no hymn books and the curtains have to close at the point of committal.
Churches are now closed but will open for funerals with restricted numbers of mourners.
Our chapel of rest is still open by appointment, but this may change in line with any changing guidelines, visits will be restricted to 15 minutes with a maximum of two people attending.
We will no longer offer the option to supply limousines at this time to keep everyone safe. This mean all funerals will be a hearse only from a loved one’s house or a hearse direct to place of service.
Donation collections at funerals will no longer be available to reduce the risk of infection caused by handling infected cash / cheques. We offer the facility of placing a loved ones donations details on www.memorygiving.co.uk, or as a family you may wish to create your own just giving page.
Despite a reduced number of options being available at this time, you may wish to consider holding a small service now, followed by a service to celebrate your loved ones life at a later date. We can help plan this to suit your needs whether it is to be held in a church or non-religious venue when restrictions are lifted.
I am reviewing the situation as it develops and will keep this page updated to ensure we can offer our clients the most up to date and informative information,
we are always here to help.
